BUNKER HILL - Dr. Greg Bell is certainly proud of the gold medal he won in the long jump in the 1956 Summer Olympics.
But it's what he's been doing since then that makes him unique.

"I'm the only black gentleman with an Olympic gold medal who recites poetry," Bell said with a laugh.
Bell works as a dentist at the Logansport State Hospital, and also takes time to share his love of poetry with the community. On Thursday, he presented the works of famous poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, as well as some of his own poems, to a warm reception from inmates at the Miami County Correctional Facility.
