Rep. Bill Friend will be among a small delegation going to Taiwan and Vietnam next week as part of the Indiana Food and Agricultural Trade Mission to those countries, according to a press release from Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman's office.

Skillman will be leading a group of 37, which will include Friend, Agriculture Director Andy Miller, other legislators, select delegate members representing Purdue University, the feed industry, hardwood furniture manufacturing, marketing, the media, state staff, corn and soybean associations and the pork producers association, Friend said. The goal for the week-long trade mission is to create new business opportunities for Indiana's food and agricultural industry and generate economic growth for the state.
