The Cubs edged the Cardinals during recent Peru Babe Ruth League action. Justin Engel struck out five in the win.

For the Cubs, Chad Babbs and Joe Bockover both hit a single and a double to lead the offensive attack. Others contributing were Taylor Cook (two singles), Engel (single), Dustin Kern (single) and Ian Applegate (single).

Daniel Beck led the Cards with two singles and a double. Other Cardinals with hits were Dustin Reich (single), Matt Robson (two singles), Austin Shaw (single), Ryan Sellers (single), Greg Stewart (single) and T.J. England (single).

PLL A's get Rocked

During recent Peru Little League action, the Rockies defeated the A's 9-8. Travis Smith picked up the win on the mound.

For the Rockies, Nolan Baker led the team with two singles. Smith, Johnny Christian, Taylor Smith, Zack Saylor and Elliot Touloukian each added a base hit.

In other little league play, the A's downed the Cubs 8-6. Hunter Bartel struck out 10 in the win. Bartel also led the team at the plate, hitting a single, a triple and a home run. Other Athletics with hits were Brady Ubel (two singles), Ian Sul-livan (single), Conner Lund (three singles), Sutton Baker (single) and Spencer Soldi (single).

For the Cubbies, Chris Broon hit a single and a triple. Others with hits were Austin Finicle (single), Tarran Townsend (two singles), Alex Wolfe (single), Mason Benedict (single) and Mike Grenier (two singles).

The Yankees defeated the Dodgers 11-0 in recent Peru Little League action. Evan Laudenschlager struck out six batters en route to the win.

For the Yanks, Colin Quin (two singles), Zac Kennedy (single) and Jamie Wright (single) provided the offense.

Skyler Burnett singled for the Dodgers.

Ta. Smith hit two singles and a triple to lead the Rockies to a 12-7 win over the Ca-rdinals in recent Peru Little Lea-gue action.

Other Roc-kies with hits were Christian (three singles), Tr. Smith (three singles, double), Saylor (two singles, double), Kane Roush (two singles), Nolan Baker (three singles) and Nolan Brimbury (single).

For the Cardinals, Paul Hayes hit a home run. Others adding to the Cardinal cause were Brodie Brooks (single, double), Lucas Labare (single), Joseph Comerford (double), Ethan Beech (two singles, double), Andrew Kuepper (single, double) and Justin Garrett (single).

Black leads BH Padres

The Padres defeated the Astros 13-8 in recent Bunker Hill Little League play. Chris Massie struck out two in the win.

At the plate, Seth Black hit a grand slam to lead the Padres. Others with hits were Tanner Wilder (single), Jesse McClish (double), Levi Irvin (double) and Aaron Shepherd (single).

In Bunker Hill Little League majors play, the Twins defeated the Pirates 11-10. Trevor Armes struck out eight in the win.

For the Twins, Ryan Frantz singled and tripled to lead the way. Other Twins with hits were Jake Hensley (single), Ben Taylor (single, double), Marcus Coddington (triple), Brock Green (single) and Clint Cain (two singles).

Logan Shields led the Pirates with a single and a double. Other Buckos with hits were Brenner Stage (single), Justin Hunt (double), Braxton Simpson (double) and Matt Whybrew (single).

In other Bunker Hill action, the Twins downed the Marlins 7-4. Frantz struck out nine Marlin batters in the win.

Picking up hits for the Twins were Hensley (single), Armes (double), Taylor (single) and Cain (single).

Drew Higgins (double) and Randal Laha (single) recorded hits for the Marlins.
